On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to travel to Andhra Pradesh and take part in a number of events. Projects totalling Rs 13,430 crore will be inaugurated and the foundation stone laid by him.
Key industries covered by the projects include industry, power transmission, roadways, railroads, defense production, and natural gas and petroleum. Additionally, he will take part in Kurnool's "Super GST Super Savings" event.
"I will pray at the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Varla Devasthanam in Srisailam," declared Narendra Modi on Wednesday in a post on X. "I'll be at Kurnool after that, where foundation stones will be laid for development projects valued at over Rs 13,400 crores. Power, railroads, petroleum, defense, industries, and more are all covered by these projects," the prime minister stated.
Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's official travel schedule states that he will meet PM Modi at Kurnool Airport at approximately ten in the morning.
According to a press statement from the Press Information Bureau, PM Modi will visit Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Varla Devasthanam, Srisailam in the Nandyal district after his arrival in order to do pooja and have darshan.
He will next travel to Kurnool for the inaugurations and foundation stone laying ceremonies after visiting Sree Shivaji Spoorthi Kendra in Srisailam.
At a cost of more than Rs 2,880 crore, he will build the groundwork for the Kurnool-III Pooling Station's Transmission System Strengthening. A 765 KV double-circuit Kurnool-III Pooling Station-Chilakaluripeta transmission line will be built as part of this project, increasing transformation capacity by 6,000 MVA and facilitating the large-scale transmission of renewable energy.
With a combined investment of more than Rs 4,920 crore, he will also lay the foundation stones for the Orvakal Industrial Area in Kurnool and the Kopparthy Industrial Area in Kadapa.
These contemporary multi-sectoral industrial centers, which were co developed by the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT) and Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd (APIIC), include plug and play infrastructure and a walk to work concept.
In the southern state's Rayalaseema region, these hubs are anticipated to boost industrial development and worldwide competitiveness by drawing in Rs 21,000 crore in investments and creating about one lakh employment.
At a cost of more than Rs 960 crore, the PM will also lay the cornerstone for the six lane greenfield highway that would connect Sabbavaram and Sheelanagar. In addition to facilitating trade and employment, this initiative seeks to reduce traffic in the port city of Visakhapatnam.
Additionally, the PM will open the four-lane Rail over Bridge (ROB) between Gudivada and Nujella Railway Stations on NH-165, as well as the four lane Pileru Kalur section road, which will widen from the Kadapa-Nellore boundary to CS Puram.
Additionally, he will upgrade the bypassed stretch near N Gundlapalli Town on NH-544DD and open the Kanigiri Bypass on NH-565. More than Rs 1,200 crore worth of railway projects would be started and inaugurated by Modi.
He will lay the cornerstone for the Rail Flyover between Pendurti and Simhachalam North as well as the Kothavalasa-Vizianagaram Fourth Railway Line.
He will start the process of doubling the Shimiliguda-Gorapur and Kottavalasa Boddavara sections. The prime minister will officially open the Srikakulam Angul Natural Gas Pipeline of GAIL India Limited, which spans 298 km in Odisha and 124 km in Andhra Pradesh and was constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 1,730 crore. At a similar vein, he will open Indian Oil's 60 TMTPA (thousand metric tons per annum) LPG bottling facility at Chittoor, which was built with an approximate cost of Rs 200 crore.
Additionally, Bharat Electronics Limited invested approximately Rs 360 crore to create the Advanced Night Vision Products Factory in Nimmaluru, Krishna district, which PM Modi will open. PM Modi was invited to participate in the "Super GST Super Savings" program by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu during his most recent visit to New Delhi.
A comprehensive revision of the goods and services tax regime was recently authorized by the GST Council, which reduced taxes on a wide range of everyday commodities, including corn flakes, hair oil, personal health and life insurance policies, and countless more.
"The upcoming Super GST Super Savings event in Kurnool will celebrate the people's enthusiasm and appreciation for this forward-looking initiative, and I had the privilege of inviting him (PM Modi) to grace this event with his presence," said Naidu in a post to social media.
The TDP leader claims that PM Modi will inform the public of the advantages of the GST reforms.
As part of his October 16 visit to Srisailam, Naidu recently instructed officials to plan for the PM to lay the foundation for "Drone City."
After these events, Naidu is expected to drop PM Modi off at Kurnool Airport on Thursday at approximately 4:40 p.m. In the meantime, complex security arrangements are being made for Modi's arrival.
