Air India flight aborts Guwahati takeoff due to warning

A major disaster was averted on Saturday at Guwahati Airport, when an Air India flight from Guwahati to Delhi was forced to make a low-speed rejected takeoff due to a technical warning.

According to reports, the pilot observed a technical warning indicating that the parking brake was engaged, following which he decided to abort the takeoff. The Air India aircraft, an A320 operating as flight AI890, safely vacated the runway and returned to the bay for inspection.

As per reports, the flight, which had been cleared for departure, suddenly experienced a technical issue that prompted the pilots to abort the takeoff.

According to sources, the technical warning indicated that the parking brake was engaged, which could have led to a serious accident if not addressed promptly. The pilots, however, acted immediately, bringing the aircraft to a stop without any injuries or damage.

All passengers and crew on board the flight were safe, and the incident did not result in any injuries or fatalities. The prompt action of the pilots and the safety measures in place ensured that the situation was brought under control, and the aircraft was safely returned to the bay for inspection.

The incident is currently under investigation, and the aircraft is being examined to determine the cause of the technical glitch. The parking brake issue is being thoroughly examined, and measures are being taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Air India has issued a statement confirming the incident and assuring passengers that safety is its top priority.
