Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday visited the flood hit and cloudburst affected areas of Himachal Pradesh and Punjab to see the damage caused by heavy rain and landslides in the two states.
Modi also announced special financial assistance to the two states. The Centre will provide ₹1,500 crore to Himachal Pradesh and ₹1,600 crore to Punjab as flood arelief.
