As the finale of Chhath Puja, people from all over the nation offered "Usha Arghya" to the rising Sun this morning. Along ponds, ghats, and riverbanks, thousands of people congregated to carry out rites and ask for blessings for wealth and wellbeing.
The Nahay-Khay ceremony kicked off the four day Chhath Mahaparv on October 25. Kharna followed on October 26, Sandhya Arghya (evening offerings) on October 27, and Usha Arghya (dawn offerings) on October 28.
