FIFA World Cup Trophy will make its first ever visit to Guwahati on January 13 of next year as part of the FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour.
Assam Chief Secretary Ravi Kota recently posted on social media platform "X" that he had "chaired a meeting yesterday with all concerned stakeholders and representatives from the Sports Department to discuss the proposed Original FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour scheduled to arrive in Guwahati on January 13, 2026."
Kota presided over the meeting to discuss the event's preparations, which would take place under the Coke Studio umbrella.
Senior officials from several state and federal government departments, as well as representatives from the Sports Department, the Coca Cola Company, and North East United Football Club, attended the conference.
The chief secretary added that the coordination effort was intended to guarantee seamless arrangements for the visit, which is anticipated to draw music lovers and football supporters from all across the area.
The trophy tour will be combined with live performances at the event, giving the sporting milestone a cultural component. Officials talked about venue management, tourist flow, and security logistics.
