China's foreign ministry said on Saturday that Wang Yi, China's foreign minister, met with his counterpart from the United Arab Emirates on Friday and pledged increased cooperation with the Gulf nation in infrastructure, investment, and oil and gas.
Wang spoke with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed in Abu Dhabi as part of a three-nation tour of the Middle East that started on Friday, according to the ministry.
"China is willing to strengthen high-level exchanges with the UAE, consolidate political mutual trust and elevate bilateral relations," Wang stated.
