Guwahati airport’s bamboo orchid terminal to launch with PM Modi: Assam CM

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Tuesday that the new airport terminal in Guwahati is prepared for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's two-day visit, which starts on December 20.

Sarma emphasized that the project's distinctive design, which is based on Assamese materials, symbolizes the state's commitment on sustainable building and cultural identity.

"The terminal is nearly complete. On the fringes of an event in Lumding, Sarma said, "It is a very beautiful terminal that was built using bamboo and foxtail orchids." According to the sources, the new terminal's cutting-edge processing facilities will significantly improve freight connection.

Sarma further revealed that Prime Minister Modi will participate in a number of ceremonial events and open the terminal on December 20.

He is going to Namrup the following day. The Chief Minister continued, "He will also pay respects at the recently opened martyrs' memorial and visit the BJP headquarters."

Speaking about politics, Sarma questioned the reasoning behind the Congress's accusations of vote chori (stealing) and rejected them.

The Congress employs a sizable number of workers and agents at the booth level throughout Assam. How can someone take votes if they are everywhere? He questioned, "Such accusations simply do not make sense since they claim to be in every household."

In addition, he noted that the groundwork for the next elections is almost finished. "The work is nearly complete, alliances are prepared, and candidates are nearly finalized." There will be more possibilities for women and young people with potential, and their representation will rise, he stated.
