Microsoft CEO Nadella is developing a cricket app in his spare time

Satya Nadella of Microsoft Corp. is an avid cricket enthusiast who has been using his leisure time to code and create an app that analyzes the age-old sport.

The CEO of Microsoft discussed on Thursday how he created a Deep Research AI software over Thanksgiving by fusing two of his loves. For openers, he utilized it to choose a team of the greatest Indian test cricket players ever.

"The system generated debates, reasoning chains, consensus areas, and more. "It was amazing," Nadella remarked at a business gathering in Bangalore.

"I was hoping to join the Copilot team." Nadella, who has been investing in cricket teams, will find the app useful. He was a member of a group that paid £147 million ($182 million) for a 49% stake in the UK team London Spirit, together with other tech professionals. In addition, he is a co-owner of the Seattle Orcas, a professional Twenty20 cricket team located near Microsoft's headquarters.

This week, Nadella will meet with Indian political and business heavyweights. Microsoft promised to invest $17.5 billion in cloud computing and artificial intelligence in the nation over a four-year period, with the goal of expanding into the most populated country in the world.

Before moving to the US for graduate work, the CEO studied engineering in southern India, where he was born. Nadella attributes his leadership, perseverance, and teamwork skills to cricket.

On Thursday, Nadella demonstrated to the audience how his tool investigated every choice, beginning with choosing the greatest captain.

Virat Kohli defeated Mahendra Singh Dhoni in a close match. During a significant renovation of its Redmond, Washington, headquarters, which employs a sizable number of engineers of Indian descent, Microsoft added a cricket pitch.

At the time, Microsoft claimed that this might be the first legitimate recreational cricket ground ever planned and constructed as part of a significant business or community project in the United States.
