Seminar Sparks Holistic Student Development in Assam

 


The National Institute for Teacher Education in Khetri, Kamrup (Metro) hosted a one-day national seminar on "Holistic Student Development and Confidence Building: Preparing Students for Real-World Challenges" on Saturday.

A notable group of academics, professors, academic administrators, well-known individuals, and research scholars from around the nation honored the occasion.

Binapani Majumdar Bharali, President of BEF, Khetri, held a lamp-lighting ceremony to kick off the seminar. The college's principal, Dr. Sristidhar Biswas, welcomed the visitors, staff, students, research scholars giving presentations, and other participants. Dr. Biswas emphasized in his speech the value of ongoing funding for upcoming conferences and seminars to raise Assamese students' academic performance.

The keynote speaker, Prof. Dulumoni Goswami, Head of Gauhati University's Department of Education, spoke on the theme of the seminar, emphasizing the institutional duty to equip students to be future leaders of society.

Dr. Md. Baniyamuddin, Regional Director of IGNOU, Guwahati, praised the college's efforts to send a positive message to the academic community through this seminar and emphasized the importance of holistic development in boosting student confidence.

The principal of Dimoria College (Autonomous), Dr. Mahanda Borah, emphasized the importance of institutions and families in helping students develop holistically and gain confidence.

The seminar's lead organizer, Prof. Kalyan Pandey, a prominent professor at the college, outlined the main ideas and goals of the event while thanking everyone who helped make it a success.

Ram Charan Bharali, Chief of BEF, Khetri and Secretary of the College GB, emphasized the value of comprehensive student development for boosting self-esteem and promised ongoing support for upcoming initiatives.

The head of the School of Liberal Arts at ASBM University in Bhubaneswar, Dr. Emily Pandey, talked on the elements of holistic development required to prepare students to become leaders in a variety of fields.

The director of the A. Bose Institute in Kolkata, Dr. Aradhana Paul, concentrated on topics essential to students' overall growth.

Hemangi Thakuria, the librarian of the National Institute for Teacher Education, Khetri, stated in a statement on Sunday that more than twenty academics presented their research papers during the seminar, which will be published in the college's ISSN research journal, the Multidisciplinary Research Journal.
