On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished the country a happy Navratri and described the holiday as a time of fortitude, commitment, patience, and resolve.
He wrote, "Best wishes to everyone for Navratri," in a post on X. Everybody gains new strength and faith from this holy holiday, which is full of devotion, bravery, patience, and resolve. "Jai Mata Di!"The Prime Minister emphasised the spiritual importance of the first day honouring Goddess Shailputri and expressed the hope that "everyone's life may be filled with good fortune and health with the love and blessings of the Goddess."
PM Modi also promoted "Atmanirbhar Bharat" and "GST Bhachat Utsav" on the occasion of Navratri, claiming that this year's "GST savings festival" is unique since it supports India's drive for independence.
"During this time, the self reliance slogan will acquire fresh momentum in addition to the GST savings festival.
"Let us unite in our joint endeavours to attain the determination of a developed and independent India," he continued.
On the eve of the new Goods and Services Tax (GST) reforms going into effect, Prime Minister Modi spoke to the country earlier on Sunday.
He said that the lower GST rates will provide a "double bonanza" for citizens by supplementing the income tax savings already granted this year.
Additionally, he stated that during the past 11 years, 25 crore people have been able to escape poverty because to India's socioeconomic advancements.
"25 crore people in the nation have overcome poverty in the past 11 years. A sizable population of 25 crore individuals, referred to as the neo middle class, has risen above poverty and is now influential in the nation. PM Modi stated, "This neo middle class has its own goals and dreams."
