PM Modi urged people to choose Made in India items and reduce their reliance on other countries on Saturday in a significant push for "Atmanirbhar Bharat."

When he opened the "Samudra se Samriddhi" event in Bhavnagar, Gujarat, he remarked, "Agar hamara koi dushman hai toh woh hai dusre deshon par hamari nirbharta.He gave a keynote speech and laid the groundwork for multiple development initiatives worth over Rs 34,200 crore during the occasion.
"India is advancing in the spirit of 'Vishwabandhu' today. There are no significant adversaries in the world.
Our reliance on other nations is our greatest enemy. This is our greatest adversary, and we must work together to vanquish this enemy of India the enemy of reliance.
We have to say this again and again. The more a nation depends on outside sources, the more likely it is to fail.
The nation with the greatest population in the world needs to become Atmanirbhar for world peace, stability, and prosperity, Prime Minister Modi declared.
"Our selfrespect will suffer if we continue to rely on others. We cannot let others decide the fate of our 1.4 billion compatriots. We cannot rely on others to solve the problem of the nation's development.
We cannot jeopardise the future of generations to come. "A self sufficient India is the only remedy for a hundred sorrows," he continued.
"Congress ignored India's strength for a long time, when globalisation started, it took the road of import and in that also they made scams of crores of rupees," the prime minister said in his criticism of previous governments.
The original strength of India was impeded by the Congress's policy.
During his visit, PM Modi set the groundwork for a number of development projects totalling more than Rs 34,200 crore, with a focus on regional and maritime infrastructure.
"This program is for all of India, even though it is taking place in Bhavnagar. “Today, Bhavnagar has been selected as the hub for this significant program to highlight India’s journey from ‘Samudra Se Samriddhi,’” he stated, highlighting the program’s national significance.
