Prior to his visit to the National Maritime Heritage Complex in Lothal, PM Modi will lead a review meeting and perform an aerial assessment of the Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR).
A PMO statement states that PM Modi will officially launch and lay the groundwork for a number of initiatives in the maritime industry valued at more than Rs 7,870 crore.
These include the following: the Tuna Tekra Multi Cargo Terminal; firefighting facilities and modern road connectivity at Kamarajar Port, Ennore; coastal protection works at Chennai Port and Car Nicobar Island; a multipurpose cargo berth and Green Bio Methanol Plant at Deendayal Port, Kandla; a new container terminal and related facilities at Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata; a new container terminal and related developments at Paradip Port; and ship repair facilities at Patna and Varanasi.
In keeping with his dedication to sustainable and holistic development, the prime minister will also officially launch and lay the groundwork for a number of state and federal projects in Gujarat totalling more than Rs 26,354 crore.
These include the following: the PM KUSUM 475 MW Component C solar feeder for farmers; the 45 MW Badeli Solar PV Project; the HPLNG Regasification Terminal at Chhara Port; the Acrylics & Oxo Alcohol Project at Gujarat IOCL Refinery; the 600 MW Green Shoe Initiative; and the full solarisation of Dhordo hamlet.
In addition, he will lay the groundwork for LNG infrastructure, more renewable energy projects, coastal protection projects, highways, healthcare and urban transport projects, such as the four laning of 70 km of national highways and the expansions of Sir T General Hospital in Bhavnagar and Guru Govind Sinh Government Hospital in Jamnagar.
