Jaishankar emphasized the urgent need for peace and the resolution of ongoing conflicts

Speaking to a group of G20 foreign ministers outside the UNGA, EAM S. Jaishankar presented a compelling case for resolving disputes, fighting terrorism, and redefining multilateralism.

He claimed that recent conflicts, particularly in Gaza and Ukraine, graphically illustrated the costs to global growth and international peace, particularly for the Global South, in terms of the security of food, energy, and fertiliser.

According to the EAM, terrorism is still a constant threat to progress, and it is crucial that the world neither tolerate nor accommodate terrorist activity.

"Given the extensive networking amongst terrorists, those who act against them on any front actually render a larger service to the international community as a whole," Jaishankar stated.
