Lookout notices have been issued against Zubeen Garg's manager Siddharth Sharma and North East India Festival organiser Shyamkanu Mahanta in the singer's death case, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Saturday.

Sarma stated on Facebook Live that if neither shows up in Guwahati on October 6 to make their testimony, the police will intensify their search for them.

"We don't want them to come now because the Durga Puja festival is about to start.

But they must arrive after Dashami. On October 6, they are have to travel to Guwahati and provide their statements," he stated.

"If they choose not to appear before the CID, which has been looking into the circumstances surrounding Garg's September 19 drowning death in Singapore's sea.

The chief minister insisted that they may go to the court. Mahanta's credit cards and bank accounts have been frozen, he continued, so "he cannot remain outside for long."

According to Sarma, the government is currently obtaining the autopsy report for Garg from Singapore.

According to Sarma, the results of the second post mortem examination that was carried out at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital are likewise "ready."

The chief minister said that in order to guarantee openness in the police inquiry, he wrote to the Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court on Friday, asking for the establishment of a judicial committee led by a sitting judge.

"I have told Union Home Minister Amit Shah today that we will hand over the case to CBI the day it seems that the Assam Police is not being able to get justice for Zubeen," he stated.

Additionally, Sarma urged the populace to refrain from "anti government politics in the name of Zubeen, attempting to turn Assam into Nepal."

He brought up the recent statewide protests in Nepal, which were brought on by the neighbouring country's K.P. Sharma Oli administration's ban on social media.
