Following his sudden digression into a boast about White House renovations in answer to a question regarding the passing of his ally and right-wing activist Charlie Kirk, US President Donald Trump is coming under fire.
Kirk, the 31-year-old creator of Turning Point USA, was killed on Wednesday while giving a speech at Utah Valley University. He actively participated in Trump's reelection campaign and was a staunch supporter of his political career.
"Sincere condolences on the loss of your friend Charlie," a reporter asked Trump on Friday. How are you doing?
In response, Trump said, "I think very good." By the way, all of the trucks are visible there.
The White House's new ballroom, which they have been vying for for around 150 years, has recently begun building. It will also be beautiful. It is going to be a truly amazing building. Within hours, the video went viral and sparked a flood of online outrage.
“What a narcissistic man!” wrote one person. "He couldn't help but shift the focus back to himself and his imagined legacy, even when questioned about the passing of a close ally."
Some were even more critical. "Who is Charlie? One person wrote, "Look trucks!" "Literally doesn't care about him except how he can be exploited for his own gain," another person continued.
"And just like that, Charlie Kirk's murder is no longer useful to him time to change the subject," remarked a third user. What a callous jerk.
Additionally, Trump's public appearance within hours of the assassination was brought up by social media users. "He was dancing to the YMCA at a baseball game about six hours after a man who was allegedly "like a son" to him was murdered," someone said.
Across all platforms, the most frequent responses included phrases like "Total sociopath," "Typical narcissist," and "What a bizarre way to respond."
