On Sunday, October 19, one month after his tragic death, Assam will honor its legendary singer, Zubeen Garg, with a lavish memorial ceremony and justice rally in Guwahati.
An unprecedented number of people from various backgrounds, including political leaders, social organizations, cultural associations, and fans, will come together to celebrate the life, legacy, and creative genius of the late music maestro at the event, which is set to start at 10 AM at Lakhidhar Bora Field in Dighalipukhuri.
The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee, CPI (M), CPI (ML), All India Forward Bloc (Assam Unit), Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP), Raijor Dal, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), and Trinamool Congress (Assam Unit) are among the political and social organizations working together to organize the tribute event.
The ceremony is anticipated to be led and attended by notable individuals, including Gaurav Gogoi, Suprakash Talukdar, Kanak Gogoi, Vivek Das, Mihir Nandi, Akhil Gogoi, Dr. Bharen Choudhury, Lubinjyoti Gogoi, Dulu Ahmed, and Ajit Kumar Bhuyan.
