Congresswoman Priyanka Gandhi Vadra posted a photo of herself with a cow named "Alia Bhatt" on a dairy farm in Kodenchery, Kerala, on Tuesday.
Gandhi wrote on X, tagging the Bollywood star, "I met a group of dairy farmers at a dairy farm run by the loveliest family (and even encountered a cow named Alia Bhatt!!, due apologies to Ms. Alia Bhatt but she was really a cutie pie!)". A video footage of the visit was also released by her.Gandhi also brought attention to the severe difficulties faced by dairy producers.
"Unfortunately, a lot of dairy farmers are having trouble making ends meet due to a variety of issues.
She stated, "I plan to write to the relevant ministry to inform them of the various problems they encounter, such as the rising expense of veterinary medications, inadequate insurance coverage, and challenges in obtaining high quality cattle feed."
The farmers who took the time to discuss their challenges were thanked by the Wayanad MP.
"I want to express my appreciation to the numerous farmers who took the time to thoroughly explain these problems to me. "I'll help in any way I can," she continued.
Gandhi spoke with the local farming community during her visit, talking about real world issues that impact the dairy farm's day to day operations.
