RJD expels 27 functionaries, including 2 MLAs

For working against the party line in the lead up to the assembly elections, the RJD dismissed 27 of its employees on Monday, including Ritu Jaiswal, the head of its state women cell, two current lawmakers, and numerous previous lawmakers.

In a formal letter released Monday evening, state RJD president Mangani Lal Mandal stated, "They have been expelled from the primary membership of RJD for six years based on authorised information regarding their anti party activities."

Two lawmakers that were expelled are Mohammad Kamran and Chhote Lal Rai. Kamran, who previously held the Govindpur seat, was dropped this time, whereas Rai was chosen as the JDU candidate for the Parsa seat, which he currently occupies.

Ram Prakash Mahto, Anil Sahani, Saroj Yadav, Ganesh Bharti, and Anil Yadav are among the previous lawmakers that were expelled. Ritu Jaiswal is running for the Parihar seat against the official candidate of the RJD.

Tejashwi Yadav of the RJD, the opposition's chief minister, used Facebook Live in the evening to urge migrants who had traveled home for Chhath puja to leave the state only after exercising their right to vote. "I promise that by next Chhath, no one will need to move out of Bihar for a job, education, or treatment," he stated.

The former deputy chief minister also made fun of the railway minister's boasts of setting up 12,000 special trains and blamed the migrants for "a lot of troubles" they had getting on trains to travel home for the festival.

"Where are the trains? Bihar residents have been observed stranded in restrooms and traveling in crammed trains. He claimed that PM Modi and his government ought to apologize for insulting Biharis.

According to Tejashwi, the Grand Alliance's common manifesto would be made public on Wednesday. He added that on Thursday, he and Rahul Gandhi, a Congress neta, would attend joint rallies.
