Security personnel in the Pulwama area of Jammu and Kashmir destroyed the home of Dr. Umar Nabi, the driver of the explosive laden vehicle involved in the Delhi explosion, according to police on Friday.
According to them, the demolition was done throughout the course of Thursday and Friday nights. Thirteen people were killed and numerous others were injured in Monday night's automobile explosion near Red Fort.
The explosives laden Hyundai i20 was driven by Umar. DNA samples taken from the bomb site matched those of Dr. Umar's mother, confirming his identity.
In his social group, Umar was regarded as a professional with strong academic credentials, but during the last two years, he supposedly became radical. According to investigators, he joined a number of extremist social media message groups.
The high intensity explosion tore through a slow moving automobile close to Delhi's Red Fort area on Monday night, just hours after police dismantled the terror module with ties to the outlawed Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind and detained eight people, including three physicians.
When police broke up the terror group, which was spread throughout Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, they found about 3,000 kg of ammonium nitrate, potassium chlorate, and sulfur.
