I stand with every Hindu: Suvendu Adhikari honors men

Shortly after being released on bail, BJP leader and opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari on Thursday "felicitated" the three men detained for allegedly attacking two vendors selling chicken patties at a Gita recital event in Kolkata.

Photos from the occasion were shared on Facebook by Adhikari, who was once close to Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister and leader of the Trinamool Congress (TMC).

"I want to let Mamata Banerjee know that using your loyalist police to oppress 'sanatanis' is not an option. The Nandigram MLA added, "I stand with every Hindu in this fight, along with countless supporters of Hindutva.

The fight to protect religion will continue." "The voice of justice still prevails silently in India," Adhikari later said in an interview with reporters. He stated that the chief minister had "arrogantly" claimed responsibility for the arrests, citing Banerjee's previous remarks on the matter.

He emphasized that his identification as a Hindu comes first, even though he is a member of the BJP, an opposition leader, and a legislator.

"My first responsibility is to defend my dharma if my Hindu brothers and sisters are in danger. "I have learned that from the Gita," he declared.

Adhikari also claimed credit for the three people's release, pointing out that he had sent his legal team to the Maidan police station, where the case was filed, and collaborated with many attorneys to obtain their bail.

The Bankshall court released the three on Rs 1,000 personal bonds. The sellers had reported that they were forced to perform sit-ups while clutching their ears by a group of young people who had attacked them for selling non-vegetarian cuisine at the holy event. After an alleged video of the event went viral on social media, police stepped in.
