On Martyrs' Day, he also paid tribute to those who fought in the Assam Movement. "This movement will always hold an important place in our history," the PM tweeted, honoring the bravery of people who participated in the Assam Movement.

He called Rajagopalachari "one of the sharpest minds of the 20th century, who believed in creating value and upholding human dignity" and a "freedom fighter, thinker, intellectual, statesman."
A teenage Rajagopalachari, his appointment as a Cabinet Minister, a 1920s volunteer photo, and a 1922 edition of teenage India that he edited while Gandhi Ji was imprisoned were among the archival materials that PM Modi shared.
When one thinks of Shri C. Rajagopalachari, one might describe him as a statesman, thinker, intellectual, and freedom warrior. On the anniversary of his birth, we honor him.
He is still regarded as one of the greatest thinkers of the 20th century, and he supported human dignity and value creation. His lasting achievements are gratefully remembered by our country.

Following Sardar Patel's passing, C Rajagopalachari was appointed Minister of Home Affairs and made important contributions to India's independence and government.
