Assam Govt agreed Special Public Prosecutors for Zubeen Garg's death case



A group of Special Public Prosecutors has been appointed by the Assam government to investigate the killing of Zubeen Garg. Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma presided over a state cabinet meeting on Friday night at Lok Sewa Bhawan in Guwahati, where the decision was made.

Chief Minister Sarma announced the cabinet's decisions, stating that the advocates appointed are Senior Advocate Ziaul Kamar as Special Public Prosecutor, Additional Special Public Prosecutor Brojendra Mohan Chaudhuri, and Assistant Special Public Prosecutors Kishor Dutta, Pranjal Dutta, and Vikash Jammar. Additionally, the cabinet has decided to provide the Zubeen Garg Memorial Trust Rs. 5 crore.
