SC to hear father's bail plea in Pune Porsche crash case

 


The father of the 17 year old involved in the Porsche automobile crash in Pune, who is being prosecuted for allegedly tampering with his son's blood sample test by substituting his own, was granted bail on Wednesday by the Supreme Court.

A bench consisting of Justices B V Nagarathna and Ujjal Bhuyan also sent out a notice regarding an appeal submitted by a different individual who is accused of tampering with blood samples and whose son was seated in the vehicle at the time of the collision.

After Bombay High Court denied their bail request, they petitioned the Supreme Court. Additionally, it instructed them to provide their petition to Manan Verma, the family's advocate.

On May 19, 2024, at around 2:30 in the am, a Porsche automobile that was allegedly driven by a young person under the influence collided with a motorcycle in the Kalyani Nagar neighborhood of Pune. Aneesh Awadhiya and Ashwini Koshta, two 24 year old software engineers, perished in the collision.
