A guy paid homage to the late Assamese musician Zubeen Garg on Thursday by abruptly jumping into the Brahmaputra River while yelling, "Jai Zubeen Da."
The historic Saraighat Bridge in Jalukbari is where the incident took place.The man shouted the slogan before diving into the river, leaving witnesses speechless.
River police launched a search and rescue effort right away after the incident in an attempt to find the person. To far, no sign of the man has been located despite a lot of work.
