The National Institute of Technology, Silchar's Professor Debjit Bhowmik oversaw the development of the gadget, which was formally acknowledged as an intellectual property.In order to gather soil samples without harming the underlying soil structure, Ankita Majumdar and her Bihar based colleague Gautam devised a portable instrument.
