Around 150 aircraft will grace Guwahati's skies for the Indian Air Force display

Around 150 aircraft, including Rafale, Sukhoi, and MiG fighter jets, will participate in one of the biggest aerial displays in the Northeast at Guwahati's upcoming Indian Air Force (IAF) festivities.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma recently told the media, "On November 9, the Union Defence Minister will attend a mega Air Show at Lachit Ghat in Guwahati, wherein 150 planes of the Indian Air Force will display their strength, including Rafales, Sukhois, and MiGs."

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will attend the massive ceremony, which will take place over the Brahmaputra at Lachit Ghat as part of the region's ongoing Air Force Day celebrations.

The air display, which has the theme "Infallible, Impervious and Precise," will highlight the IAF's operational excellence, discipline, and precision.

It will be the Northeast's first such airborne demonstration, underscoring the area's increasing strategic significance inside India's defense system.

According to officials, a variety of fighter planes, transport carriers, and helicopters will conduct formation flying, complex maneuvers, and aerobatic sequences during the event.

Highlights include formation flights by MiG-29s and Mirage 2000s, fly pasts by Rafale and Sukhoi squadrons, and a demonstration by the Sarang helicopter team.

Along the Brahmaputra riverfront, public observation areas will be established for locals and tourists. Comprehensive security, crowd control, and traffic management strategies will be implemented, and in depth advisories will be released closer to the event.
