Assam leads India's economy growth 2020-2025 per RBI

Assam's economy has grown at the quickest rate in India throughout the last five years, from 2020 to 2025, which is excellent news.

According to Reserve Bank of India data on Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) at constant prices, India's GDP grew by real growth in a number of states between FY20 and FY25, with Assam's economy increasing at the quickest rate.

According to RBI data, Assam's GDP grew by 45% between 2020 and 2025, substantially outpacing the national growth rate during that time and surpassing other big states like Maharashtra, Gujarat, Punjab, etc.

According to the data, the state's GSDP increased from Rs 2.4 lakh crore in FY 2020 to Rs 3.5 lakh crore in FY 2025 due to a significant increase in infrastructure investment throughout the Northeast, oil and gas, and agriculture.

The Chief Minister of Assam commented on X, "This is a testament to the hard work of our people." We will make sure that Assam ranks among the top five states in Bharat, as I have repeatedly stated. By 2030, CM Sarma wants Assam's economy to be worth $413 billion.

Tamil Nadu ranked second with a 39% growth rate during the same period, followed by Karnataka with a 36% growth rate, and Uttar Pradesh, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, with a 35% growth rate.
