In an effort to bolster educational infrastructure and increase access to high-quality education, the Assam Cabinet allocated ₹455 crore on Wednesday, January 1, for the building of 100 new schools throughout the state.
Another significant decision was the Cabinet's amended administrative approval of ₹1,201.16 crore for the development of a medical college centered around the Kalapahar campus in Guwahati and Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH).
It is anticipated that the project will greatly improve medical services and healthcare education in the area. The decisions made at the January 1 Cabinet meeting highlighted the state government's emphasis on the advancement of healthcare and education.
